CRY AND CELEBRATE We're set to listen and to find them We built a garden of stone We're set to sit and observe them We built a world of our own We live to see and to hear them We built our world all alone We live to get and adapt them We built a world of our own A drug not to be down nor to be high on A fairytale that fades out in the end A silverlining made of rusted iron a voice that just stays silent A fireplace that burns just not to vanish We'll find the ones who celebrate and cry We've closed the doors we don't want to be opened We're set on them who try We're set on them We're set on them We're set on them control the fate of those who cry and celebrate A silence lying heavily between us We built a working world of our own A sea that tides abandonned for some time now We built the world to be alone We're set on them We're set on them We're set on them control the fate of those who cry and celebrate We imitate appreciation appreciate imitation a silent yet aggressive invitation to defy their cries and celebrations We're set on them We're set on them We're set on them control the fate of those who cry and celebrate

THE NEXT FIX Floating through the night streets by every wall a junkie sits as people pass he gets a fix Some cheer, some laugh out, some are in tears Some share the needle Some show rage or fear Oh, it's been so long my wall has been clean for quite some time Oh, how i long for the next fix to be mine I pace in front of my wall where people wait for me to sit where people wait to see my fix My feet move on their own I'm drawn to my wall I can see them waiting, I can see them all Oh, it's been so long my wall has been clean for quite some time Oh, how i long for the next fix to be mine So I give them a show and bask in the glow as long as they're watching I don't have to go As people depart I float away pausing to look at the junkies who stay with a fix at theirs walls Oh, it's been so long my wall has been clean for quite some time Oh, how i long for the next fix to be mine

LUCKY MAN The clouds fly by draw their shadows around me and let me see the sun in the sky The rain falls down waters the ground around me I stay dry and just hear the sound Cold wind blows when the sun starts to burn silence grows when daylight falls, the horizon turns I'm the lucky man sitting in a tree in the summertime I'm the lucky man I feel a soft breeze and the sun that shines I'm the lucky man high up in a tree singing my song I'm the lucky one I see what I have learned to see I am what I deserve and who I want to be I am the lucky one won't be the man standing on the edge or ground unknown Cold wind blows when the sun starts to burn silence grows when daylight falls, the horizon turns I'm the lucky man sitting in a tree in the summertime I'm the lucky man I feel a soft breeze and the sun that shines I'm the lucky man high up in a tree singing my song I'm the lucky one

IDENTITY FADES silenced by those who wouldn't talk and speak up at times Imprisoned by those who've been locked up themselves without comitting crimes Thrown into a field of blades the edge unknown cut to the bone until identity fades cut by those who were cut themselves no chance of being healed Taught by those who've learned themselves to be thrown into the field Thrown into a field of blades the edge unknown cut to the bone until identity fades Silence grows with silence taught Prisoners who flee get caught and will write into tomorrow's stars cuts leave wounds wounds leave scars Thrown into a field of blades the edge unknown cut to the bone until identity fades

SLIP AWAY I'd rather fall than slip away I'd rather stand out than blend I'm rather blind than see it through I'd rather break than bend I'm rather down on the ground than worn out instead I'm rather gone than slowly fade I'll be done, I'll be gone I'd rather take the fall than wait to slip away I'd rather run and be gone than fell that fade each day I'll keep the pace I'll be gone I'll keep my face I'll be done rather fall than slip away

THE CARPENTER A little workshop down the road a reflection of its time of gold at which time and anger chip away while craft is lost in chaos' hold Hammers on the ground by the wall on which they used to hang craft to pulp, art to ashes old window sills on which the crow once sang Boxes once filled with nails were emptied long ago He used to fill them up while he had dreams to follow He's got the tools for creating it He's got the tools for breaking it he learned how to dream and how to fail and that a hammer always needs a nail Dreams and years slowly went by things he built up fell apart Frustration startet eating him Creating soaks up blood and heart That one day when the stormcame and broke his window pane anger got the best of him he flushed his nails down the drain He's got the tools for creating it He's got the tools for breaking it he learned how to dream and how to fail and that a hammer always needs a nail Randomly he pounded down on tables. chairs and he'd built he felt joyful, satisfied alleviated in his guilt His workshop falls apart His feet are slow his face is pale He keepson hammering randomly but a hammer always needs a nail He's got the tools for creating it He's got the tools for breaking it he learned how to dream and how to fail and that a hammer always needs a nail

BUTTERFLY PASSED step out light up the day you'll shine unbound Insist and fight to obey my hand won't be dragging you down head out no need to stay just leave the ground exist to follow your way to find what couldn't be found and fly with one hand to catch and to keep it one hand to crush and to bruise it one hand to set it free, to let it be one hand to forget and to lose it within my hands lies your fate just rest your soul Stay close no need to escape my hand will keep you whole lean in refuse to debate no rush at all Hold on before it's too late and life has taken its toll on you with one hand to catch and to keep it one hand to crush and to bruise it one hand to set it free, to let it be one hand to forget and to lose it

AVALANCHE the cold tree moves slowly while dancing light surrounds the old tree raining flames freeze turn to snow that falls beneath the cold tree snow lies heavily surrounds with blinding lights the old tree raining flames freeze it cut the air it breathes with time. snow around the cold tree With time it fells the snow crawl with time it fears the snow fall Its moves get slow its breathing weak its branches low feeling fatigue it holds on waits for its chance it holds on waits for the avalanche

no time like the future Time stands still and moves on with your pace synchronized with your body still stand time and place Time breathes in through your lungs and lives synchronized with your body you'll find that time breathes no time like the day time stops cause it suits you no time like tomorrow no time like the future Time flies by with your wings through the sky synchronized with your mindset time glides by Time bleeds through your skin and veins synchronized with your body time feels your pain no time like the day time stops cause it suits you no time like tomorrow no time like the future synchronized with your mind time flies by, still stands time

ROUTE 1 There are signs all over town on every house you see "freedom, wealth and happiness. Route one's the place to be" First ten miles are a lonely drive but the lights are bright and the pavement's smooth no crossroads, turns or bends at all cruise control- ebjoy your youth one straight drive into the light route one is in sight one straight drive into the light route one shines tonight From mile eleven onward cracks appear the lights turn low yet no chance to exit as route one turns narrow At the end of route one There are no lights, just emptiness broken pavment - broken promises freedom wealth and happiness One straight drive out of the light road one once felt right one straight drive out of the light road one's dark tonight Left and right of road one are many roads with turns and bends i would take time and energy but seems to meet the nicer end

THE MAN I BECOME I get used to the cry of the homeless woman freezing in the street I can't get used to the man I start to be I get used to the silence of oppression and the angry men who talk with their gun But I can't get used to the man I become I get used to being free but I can't get used to the man I see Can't get used to that man I start to be Can't get used to the man I see Can't get used to being numb Can't get used to the man I become

THE BIRD FLYING IN THE GLASS PRISON The bird flying in the glass prison has a vision of the world as a pearl swimming in the sea that waits for him and would make him sing The bird flying in the glass prison pretends he makes the decision to stay he obeys the confines of his cell so while he waits for the pearl to arrive he strives to survive In the glass prison a fading vision In the glass prison he makes his decision The bird struggling in the glass prison made the decision but under the pressure he cracks his vision seeps out the treasure once fulfilling him is killing him The bird dying in the glass prison made the decision that the struggle was in vain and the pain is not worth any pearl of the world that will keep spinning without him in it In the glass prison without any vision In the glass prison he made his decision

CHILD'S PLAY We learn to know what to notice simplicity drowns in a sea of prejudice While experience becomes ignorance We build a fence Which leaves our hands in our pockets and our eyes on the ground it's a child's play where kids play and easily leave our way We learn to know what to say diversity is caught in high lows and low highs we get by every day sigh on the way with our hands in our pockets and our eyes on the grounds it's a child's play where kids play and easily leave our way

DROPS In the end it's just drops that make a river that once dropped into the river and every so often show their face and embrace the sun I shiver and sink into the river of drops It's just drops that fall to synchronize in the end It's just drops in that river a harmonizing current In the end it's just dots that make a picture at a certain spot in the picture the eye turns blind dots seem to vanish but finish with time dots after dots align It's just dots on paper synchronizing in the end it`s just dots in that picure a harmonizing silence

DINNER There's that man who studied law who was hired as the cook He wears a faded shirt that reaks of sweat and that once said: "Give me freeddom or give me death" He pours me today's soup and gives me my daily bread an keeps on saying while he pours: "be free, my son, be free or dead" The woman next to him she screams: "Don't eat his soup. Come, have some pie. He'll just tell you lie after lie. Listen: Live freely, son, live freely or die." I take the pie. I take the soup and bread as the man hands me some wine and beer. Hidden behind my gun I'll sneak them out of here One man jumps up and starts to yell: "you're all idiots!" and he heads for the door He spills and spits out all of his soup as he stumbles and falls on the floor. He keeps in screaming of systems and money. We stare at him and wait for the guard the guard brings him milk with three spoons of honey one hand to his throat he whispers:"Don't make it so hard." Dinner's done, we stand in line and we wait for the couple to guide us home the fighting seems over or that's what they sell: "be free now or die. Go home to your cell"

SKIN One touch to drift away hust of this touch the world instantly gets small with one touch Stones just roll down your heart and fall One touch goes by with the blink of an eye and everything that made me hollow just follows skin forgives easily skin on skin forgets solitide remembers solitude regrets One touch goes by so fast the last touch just lasted for a second and it eats me up leaves me starving, spinning, stranded

CHANGE STAYS There is one choice for you make choose if you participate holding on to yesterday will make you slowly drift away You criticize the things to come anxious for what's not yet done idealize the days that went fearing what you don't understand The ones who stay the same soon will die the ones who change get by The nights go by with passing days change stays Play your part or get out of the way you wont stop it tomorrow if you slow it down today the only price you pay is your ignorance but if you can't move your feet you can't join the dance Destroy your old pictures, they're mere black and white paint new ones in colour, with dark spots and light all of your drawers you'd better close tight the world is a mosaic not a stereotype The ones who stay the same soon will die the ones who change get by The nights go by with passing days change stays

GRAY cities abandonned decay colors unseen turn gray the time you rush you crush their day Fading stories wait for narrators Deserted souls long to find neighbours cities abandonned decay colors unseen turn gray the time you rush you crush their day Unsong songs wait to be chanted Lonesome seeds need to be planted cities abandonned decay colors unseen turn gray the time you rush you crush their day Cities abandonned need occupation it takes some time for colours to turn bright and words unheard take time to be heard right Fading stories wait for narration cities abandonned decay colors unseen turn gray the time you rush you crush their day

THE HANGING MAN People staring at a man tied to a rope he cries for attention held by his audience without intention The man plays his game of naming ropes: "This one's tradition. Here's religion my friends!" Someone brings him a new rope to name some tie themselves to the loose ends If you let go you won't have a name if you don't hold on you can't play the game He keeps on changing the names people fight over which truly fit they curse or cheer his latest choice and yet are all a part of it When fatigue or conscience loosen the grip the man bursts out: "My friends, this one's called migration!" it's the taut rope that people fight about If you let go you won't have a name if you don't hold on you can't play the game The man knows his audience. He screams with anger more of the same. Awe or disgust for the hanging man holding the rope, they're all part of the game If you let go you won't have a name if you don't hold on you can't play the game

SOMETHING Sinking in Then I drift to the surface always drift to the surface again falling down but the clouds always catch me the clouds always catch me before I hit the ground flying high but gravity forces me gravitiy forces me down no matter how hard I try Running away Drifting away but something pulls me back to stay Let it go But I keep getting caught I just keep getting caught with what I know Shouting out but my voice disappears my voice disappears in the crowd Leaning in But I'm always pushed back I always get pushed back to where I've been Running away Drifting away but something pulls me back to stay

LIQUOR AND SWEET CIGARETTES "The world is a cruel and bitter place." He likes that phrase "come with me, I'll take you home where you belong and won't feel alone." The children, once filled with sorrow, now dream of tomorrow He plants the seed and waits for spring He leads the way so they'll join in He takes them down to the liquor store they have some drinks, they have some more sweet cigarettes for those who are in doubt until they loose and free and the questions disappear so everyone follows and no one stands out They drink, they smoke, they toast to him He sings a songs, they start to sing The one's who sing a different song don't know it yet but soon be gone Childrens choirs with one voice may dare to make some noise but soon they'll be silent and brought to forget with liquor and sweet cigarettes He takes them down to the liquor store they have some drinks, they have some more sweet cigarettes for those who are in doubt until they loose and free and the questions disappear so everyone follows and no one stands out
